West Journey Treasure Hunt offers players five reels, three rows and 40 fixed paylines of entertainment to players. The reels float in front of the backdrop of what looks like an east Asian valley, which matches the setting of the game perfectly. The lower value symbols on the reel are letters and numbers, with 10, J, Q, K and A being used.
